How to communicate a last-minute schedule change to workers?¶
Use the integrated chat in the Cruits platform or make a phone call (you can find their number in their Candidate Profile) to notify affected workers as early as possible. Be explicit about what has changed, why, and what the worker needs to do differently.
If the change affects multiple workers, send individual messages or call each one. Reflect the change in the timesheet when the week closes by editing the relevant time blocks to match actual hours worked, which ensures payroll accuracy and correct variance reporting. Document the change and any worker acknowledgement in the chat thread for reference.
