How to check if my planned shift pattern might conflict with CAO?

Document your planned shift parameters: start and end times, total hours per day and per week, rest gaps between shifts, and the number of unsocial hours. The job posting form captures this detail through the Fixed Schedule or Shift-based schedule configuration, and the offer form captures it again at the individual placement level. Compare each parameter against the relevant CAO limits for maximum hours, mandatory rest, and shift allowance triggers. If any value is close to a threshold, build in a safety margin. When you are unsure, share the completed shift configuration with your HR or legal team for review before sending offers to candidates.
